Getting Short-listed!
24th January 2013


Today, judges from the Kildare Student Enterprise Awards arrived to our school. We had spent the week preparing ourselves and were really excited but still nervous when competition day final arrived! 

Towards the end of the day, we received great news! We were told that we were short-listed for the Kildare County Final along with five other mini-companies in our school! We were delighted but we know that if we get through to the next round that there's a lot of work cut out for us!

Radio Appearance!
30th January 2013

We recently just made an appearance on KFM's Show called "Kildare Today". We talked about our mini-company and our CD as well as Transition Year in general. We had a lot of fun and the presenter, Clem Ryan was great! We would like to say thank you to everyone at KFM for giving us the opportunity to go on! Off to the County Final!

We received great news today! We got through to Kildare County Final for the Student Enterprise Awards! Only two mini-companies from our school got through, and "Play It By Ear!" is one of them! We've a lot of work to do from now until the 4th March but we're looking forward to it!

The Big Day!

Today, The Kildare County Final for the Student Enterprise Awards took place in the 
Killashee House Hotel. We didn't get through to the National Final but we were absolutely delighted to win the "Best Business Report" Award. We were delighted that all our hard work had finally paid off! There were 21 mini-companies at the Kildare County Final and they were all great! We wish them all the best in the future! Well done to all that took part! 

Another Competition!

We received great news today! We just found out that we've gotten through to Griffith College's Business Enterprise Competition that is taking place Thursday, 14th March. The competition focuses quite a lot on Social Media so we'd all really appreciate it if you could like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter! More Radio Appearances!

We recently just made another radio appearance on Liffey Sound FM's Show called "Impact". We talked about our mini-company and our CD for a few minutes towards the end of their show. We had a lot of laughs and would like to say thank you to the presenter, Noel Kelly and all at Liffey Sound FM for having us on!

Today, Griffith College's Business Enterprise Competition took place. 10 mini-companies from across Ireland were chosen as finalists. We were delighted to win 2nd place! All our hard work is paying off! There were some fantastic mini-companies on the day and we wish them all the best in the future! Well done to all that took part!
