Play It By Ear! are CDs aimed to help piano students with the aural sections of their piano examinations. (All tests are equivalent to the Royal Irish Academy of Music Standard). 



Our CD's focus on the following sections of the aural tests:

• Memory: Rhythm Tests: For all Grades: (1-7)
• Memory: Melody Tests: For all Grades: (1-8) 

(Grade 8 piano students do not do Rhythm Memory Tests in their piano exam.)



There are over 40 practice exercises to prepare students for their exams.

There are sample tests in three or more parts for each section of the aural tests, respectively.

Each sample test was composed by Play It By Ear! with the guidance and assistance of qualified piano teachers who have overseen and reviewed our entire project.

The answers to each test are recorded where appropriate, as a guide for students to the sort of responses that would be successful in their exam.
